The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 6:30 PM, in the Town Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 59 Main Street. This will be a public meeting, but we especially look forward to a conversation with the residents of the neighborhood.
As background, the Town has been reviewing how several Town-owned properties can be used to address issues and opportunities identified in the most recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. These issues and opportunities range from recreation and open space to affordable owner-occupied homes, natural resource conservation and economic development.
The Town Council has no current proposal for the future use of this property; however, the Town recognizes it as one of the significant properties that might be helpful in addressing needs of the neighborhood and Town. The Town Council has asked that this be a facilitated, open conversation aimed at learning more about the needs of the neighborhood and the community at large.
