The Orono Public Library welcomes applications for the position of
Circulation Desk Clerk. This is a part-time position requiring the ability
to work evening and weekend hours. Typical duties require a commitment of
30 hours a week. Primary duties of the Circulation Desk Clerk involve
performing circulation related activities, serials management, and
assistance with promotion and delivery of Adult Programming. Qualified
applicants will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills,
be familiar with technology, and display attention to detail, creativity,
flexibility and excellent written and oral communications. It is preferable
the chosen candidate has at least some post-secondary
education and previous experience working or volunteering in a library.
