Parking permits are only valid in the Municipal parking lot behind the Public Safety Building. The spaces are marked with a sign that says "Permit Parking Only". Permits are valid from July 1st to June 30th and must be renewed each year. We do have half year permits (July 1 – December 31 / January 1 – June 30th). Please note that payment must be paid in full before a permit is issued.
During winter months the Town of Orono will plow the parking lot. We may need to ask you to move your vehicle for this to be done. If so, a Town employee will call you and ask you to move your vehicle temporarily so we can plow and then your vehicle can be moved back. It will be your responsibility to shovel around the vehicle if need be.
Permits for Guests or temporary permits are issued at the discretion of the Orono Police Department.
Permit Fee: The permit fee is set by the city council and is listed on the Town of Orono Fees Schedule. No partial, prorated or alternative periods.
Full year = $350.00
Half year = $200.00
