Orono's usual Trunk or Treat event will not be taking place this year do to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Instead we will be bringing you something new and exciting: presenting the Town of Orono's Boo Box Delivery Service! A Boo Box is candy-filled delight, delivered directly to your trick or treaters, and anyone living in the town of Orono is eligible to sign up! Households with multiple children can receive one Boo Box per child, regardless of age. So make sure to register all of your ghouls and goblins at OronoRec.org under the 'Events' tab. Boo Boxes will be dropped off by town employees on Halloween, and in the spirit of Halloween, we encourage everyone to show off their best costumes!

As with our usual "Trunk or Treat" event, Orono is proud to support the Teal Pumpkin Project in raising food allergy awareness. Anyone is welcome to request a Teal Pumpkin box, and there will be a place on the sign up questionnaire where you can identify your child's allergies for our Boo Box team.
