Trash and Recycling

The Town of Orono has joined with other towns in a statewide recycling effort to reduce waste in landfills and to reduce the demand on our valuable natural resources. You can find the recycling collection schedule in our on-line recycling dates. A listing of acceptable items for Trash Pickup is at the bottom of this page. We ask that you help our effort by following these guidelines:

  1. Please, separate recyclables in your bin by placing each type in a separate bag, i.e., a bag for tin cans, glass, #2 plastic, and mixed paper.
