VOTING INFORMATION

Voting for the November 6, 2012 General & Referendum Election will be held between the hours of 7:00 am - 8:00 pm in the following locations:

Ward 1, Precinct 1 voters will vote at the Birch Street School Senior Center located at 10 Birch Street.

Ward 1, Precinct 2 voters will vote in the All Purpose Room at the Memorial Union on the University of Maine Campus.

Ward 1, Precinct 3, and Ward 2 voters will vote in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 59 Main Street.

The Registrar of Voters will be in open session on the following dates and times in the Orono Town Office for the purpose of registering and enrolling new voters and to correct the voting list for the November 6, 2012 General & Referendum Election: October 30, 31, November 1, 2, and 5 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. On voting day, registration of voters will take place at all precincts.

Absentee ballots may be requested from the Orono Town Clerk’s office in person, in writing, or by phone. Maine Law does not require a voter to give a reason for requesting an absentee ballot; however, three days prior to the election, a reason is required on the Application for Absentee Ballot form.
