Nov. 20- Flight to Freedom Author Book reading/signing

Kathryn Olmstead shares well-known professional portrait photographer, Philomena Baker's, story that begins in Russia and ends in Maine. Baker's remarkable childhood experience as a German refugee during WWII is told in Olmstead's book, Flight to Freedom.  Evacuated from Odessa with the German army, Baker and her mother walked most of way to American-occupied Germany, carrying precious family photos which are shared in the book.

Temporary Road Closings

Saturday, November 16th Forest Avenue will be Closed to Traffic (7AM-3PM).

Bangor Gas will be laying pipe across Forest Avenue near Forest Ave/Bennoch Road.  Forest Avenue traffic will be detoured down Bennoch Road, across Noyes Drive to Forest Avenue.  Local traffic will enter Forest Avenue from Noyes Drive.

Monday, November 18th Bennoch Road will be Closed to Traffic (All Day)
