The continuance of the public hearing on the quarry request by Thornton Construction will not be heard on September 18, 2013 by the Planning Board. The applicant has asked that it be continued until the October 16th meeting. There will be no meeting by the Orono Planning Board on September 18th.

Vendor Forms are now available to reserve a table for Festival Day, Saturday, September 7, 2013. The cost for a table is $25 for Orono Residents and $35 for Non-Residents.

The Town parking lot on Bennoch Road across from the Post Office has been closed to make way for expansion of the parking lot and the construction of the University Credit Union’s new headquarters at the corner of Bennoch and Main Street. The new, larger parking lot will re-open in mid-2014.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of free public parking within easy walking distance of your favorite restaurants and stores:
