Municipal/Public Safety Parking Lot Closed 5AM-8AM, Dec 31st

Please be advised that the parking lot behind the Orono Municipal and Public Safety Buildings will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, December 31st) from 5AM – 8AM to allow the Public Works Crew to remove snow.  Staff who normally park in this lot should park in the Asa Adams parking lot – if you are assigned or responsible for a Town owned vehicle please make sure that the vehicle has been cleaned and moved to the Asa Adams parking lot before you leave today.

2014 Recycling Schedule

Zero Sort Recycling is a more efficient and convenient way of collecting residential recycling. Residents are not required to sort recycled materials for curbside collection. Materials simply need to be placed curbside in a recycling bin or otherwise clearly marked container marked "Recycling". Trash/Recycling Delayed to Fri/Sat Pickup

Please take notice that the Town of Orono is intending to file a Site Location of Development Act permit application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection pursuant to the provisions of 38 M.R.S.A. §§481 thru 490 on or about January 20, 2014.
