Accessing Your Ancestors:  Online Tools and Tips for Family History Research 

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2:00 p.m., Orono Public Libray 

Desiree Butterfield Nagy, from the Raymond H. Fogler Library's Special Collections Department, will present a genealogy program, highlighting the tools and opportunities available thanks to technology, including  Ancestry.com , free at public  libraries.

Library Junior Maker Club!

The library has received a giant box of LEGO pieces!!! This Thursday, 11/6, we invite children, K-2nd grade, to join us for our very first Orono Library Lego Club, 4:00-5:00. We hope you can come! No need to RSVP, just show up willing to share and create something amazing!

OMS - New Voting Location

Reminder, all voting for Ward 1, Precincts 1 & 3 will be held at the Orono Middle School Gym, 14 Goodridge Drive. (We are no longer using the Birch Street School and Council Chambers for State and Federal Elections.)

Voting for UMaine On-Campus Residents (Ward 1 Precinct 2) will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Memorial Union.

All polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

The only exceptions are the Municipal (March) and RSU#26 (June) Elections which will be held in the...

Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner, Nov. 20th

The Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 4:30 pm at the Birch Street School Senior Center.  All Orono Seniors Citizens are welcome.

If you would like to attend, please call the Town Office to make your reservations at 866-2556.

The dinner is sponsored by the Town of Orono Council & Employees, local businesses and civic organizations.
