ORONO FIRE DEPARTMENT
MISSION STATEMENT
To be a leader in Fire Protection and Emergency Management by efficiently providing uncompromised services to the citizens of Orono and the University of Maine.
In protecting citizens from fire, special technical rescues, hazardous materials, natural and man-made disasters the Town utilizes call and paid personnel to insure an initial response to calls, with a goal of starting delivery service within an average of three minutes from time of dispatch.
The Department will continue with loss prevention through; education, prevention, inspections, training, planning and by using a systematic method of command and control.
