    Hugh Rose will be presenting and selling copies of his book 'A Wild Promise: Prince William Sound', featuring his photography and essays by Debbie S. Miller. It’s been said that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and nowhere is that more true than on the pages of A Wild Promise: Prince William Sound. The images of photographer Hugh Rose show you what this region holds?and what will be lost without protection from rampant resource development. Alongside Hugh’s images are eloquent essays covering the natural and cultural history, people, and fragility of this region by noted Alaskan writer Debbie Miller.

  4. Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers perform "The Grinch"

    The Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers are back to perform a loose retelling of the classic Dr. Seuss holiday story, with some added twists! All are welcome to this free performance of "The Grinch" which is made possible by a generous gift from the Mechanics Lodge of Masons to the Orono Public Library. Happy Holidays! The location of the performance has changed: it will be held at ASA ADAMS SCHOOL gymnasium to accommodate more attendees.

  5. Great Winter Treks with Aislinn Sarnacki

    Aislinn Sarnacki is a reporter for the Bangor Daily News for the Outdoors and Homestead sections, as well as the author of the guidebook “Family Friendly Hikes in Maine,” released in 2017, and "Maine Hikes Off the Beaten Path," released in June 2018. For the BDN, Aislinn produces stories and columns about outdoor recreation, especially hiking. To date, her BDN blog features videos, photos and descriptions of nearly 300 hikes throughout the state. She also writes weekly stories about Maine wildlife, conservation and outdoor recreation, which she often supplements with videos and photos. Originally from Winterport, Maine, she graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
