Visiting Orono

While in the Orono area you might choose to stay at one of the following accommodations:

All accommodations are close to restaurants, shopping, I-95 and the University of Maine.

Thousands of visitors come to Orono each year to visit the University of Maine, including its Collins Center for the Arts, the Hudson Museum, or to take in a hockey game or other sports event, or to stop in at a shop or restaurant in Downtown Orono or walk the trails along the rivers, many of which are maintained by the Orono Land Trust.

The Orono Bog Boardwalk is jointly managed by the Orono Land Trust, the City of Bangor, and the University of Maine. The Boardwalk is 4,200' long and traverses a northern peat bog. The Boardwalk is typically open from May 1st to the last Sunday in November. Visit http://umaine.edu/oronobogwalk/ to find out more about the Boardwalk.

Orono is part of the Bangor Region, which is the gateway to the North Woods and to Downeast and Acadia National Park.  Check out all there is to do at www.visitmaine.com/region.
